Siasia Picks 20 for Obama Cup.

Super Eagles' Head Coach, Samson Siasia has selected 20 home-based players who will represent Nigeria at the United States President's Holiday Celebration Soccer Tournament, otherwise known as the Green Bowl Soccer Tournament, which takes place in Dallas, Texas, United States of America next weekend.
The Super Eagles battle Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama at the annual soccer event.

Last Thursday, the United States Embassy in Nigeria issued entry visas into America to 22 players and eight officials of the Nigeria team for the competition meant for domestic league players of the countries involved.
The list made available to reporters by the NFF at the weekend, indicate that out of the 22 players earlier picked, Siasia has dropped goalkeeper Bassey Akpan and striker Gbolahan Salami, two players recently slammed with one-year ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation for indiscipline and appalling lack of self-control.
Top on the list is domestic league current highest goals scorer Ekigho Ehiosun, Kano Pillars towering defender Abdul-Wasiu Sowemimo, experienced Heartland FC defender Chibuzor Okonkwo and Victor Ezeji.
There are also goalkeepers Chigozie Agbim and Sunday Rotimi, as well as strikers Ejike Uzoenyi, Gambo Mohammed and Joseph Thompson.



Also picked for the tournament are defenders Valentine Nwabili, Yinka Adedeji and Gege Soriola, as well as midfielders Julius Ubido, Bartholomew Ibenegbu, Harrison Egbune and Stanley Okoronkwo.
The rest are Bernard Okorowanta, Osas Okoro, Cletus Itodo and Yusuf Jaiyeola.
Apart from coaches Samson Siasia, Simon Kalika and Ike Shorunmu, the other officials on the team include Team Coordinator Emmanuel Attah, Secretary Enebi Achor, Team Doctor Ibrahim Gyaran, Team Physiotherapist Wale Oladejo and Team Curator Chidi Ngoka.
The contingent will depart from Murtala Muhammed International Airport aboard a Delta Airline flight on Wednesday, February 23 for the tournament
